Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Powder Coater to join our team at Hot Kote. This position requires knowledge in all aspects of prep and application. This also includes prep work and hand tool prep. Ideal candidates will be self-motivated, detail oriented and able to read and write in English.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prep material/job
• Take readings of blast profiles and readings of wet/dry mil thicknesses
• Lift at least 50lbs
• Operate a forklift
• Tolerate standing on concrete for an extended time period
• Willingness to learn how to operate commercial grade powder gun, familiarizing with all settings
• Apply powder to accepted industry standards
• Willingness to assist in other shop floor operations
• Practice consistent work hours
• Be on time
• Work in a non-air-conditioned environment
• Apply coating using best tool for each individual job
• Suggest tools and equipment to improve operation
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
• Handle and dispose of all hazardous waste according to safety guidelines
• Perform maintenance on equipment to keep in a satisfactory working condition
• Additional tasks as assigned

Requirements & Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is preferred
• English is required
• US work authorization is required
• Valid driver’s license
• Previous experience is a plus
• Exhibit regular and prompt attendance
• Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted
• Demonstrate ability to work independently while also able to work in a team setting
• Willing to work M-F with weekends and overtime as needed
• Ability to use a variety of hand tools and all power tools
• Ability to operate equipment, i.e. forklift, scissor lift, etc.
