This position requires a construction-minded individual. We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all aspects of the project are properly scoped and priced. A successful estimator will have strong mathematical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. This position plays a key role in helping the company bid competitively while maintaining profitability and quality standards.

• Review and analyze construction drawings, specifications, and related documents
• Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals for projects
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accurate and competitive pricing
• Maintain and update cost databases and historical data for future estimates
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure scope and cost alignment
• Attend pre-bid meetings and job site visits as needed
• Track project costs and adjust estimates to reflect changes in scope or materials
• Identify and quantify project risks and incorporate contingency into estimates
• Assist in value engineering and cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare and submit RFI’s to clarify scope and pricing details
• Support the development of budgets and schedules during pre-construction phases
• Provide timely responses to bid clarifications and addenda
• Ensure estimates comply with industry standards and company procedures
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents
• Experience with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar)
• Strong math, analytical, and communication skills
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certified is a plus, but not required
• OSHA 10 completed preferred, but not required Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related role
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and costs
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
• Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar)
• Excellent math and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple estimates at once
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with team members, vendors, and subcontractors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Knowledge of building codes and industry regulations is a plus
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred
• First Aid/CPR/AED Certified is a plus, but not required High school or equivalent is required
